ATHENS, Ga. – Athens Technical College is pleased to announce the promotion of Susan Fyffe to Vice President of Student Affairs. Previously serving as the College’s Director of Student Support Services, Fyffe has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success, innovation, and excellence in student services.
Since joining Athens Technical College, Fyffe has played a pivotal role in expanding student support initiatives, improving student engagement, and strengthening programs that help students overcome barriers to completing their education. Through leadership of student support services, she has championed initiatives that promote academic achievement, student well-being, and access to critical campus and community resources.
As Vice President of Student Affairs, she will provide strategic leadership for the College’s student affairs division, overseeing, admissions, student services, enrollment support, retention initiatives, student engagement, counseling and accessibility services, and other programs designed to enhance the student experience from enrollment through graduation.

Fyffe brings 4 years of experience in higher education and student services as well as 8 years of teaching in public school. She has also managed the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Throughout her career, she has focused on developing innovative strategies that increase student persistence, remove barriers to completion, and foster an inclusive, student-centered campus environment.
