ALHS 1040, Introduction to Healthcare provides students with an opportunity to learn and perform entry-level healthcare skills and obtain BLS certification. The prerequisite courses for the Program are frequently prerequisite courses to other diploma-level health care programs offered at ATC, such as the Dental Assisting, EMS Professions Diploma, Licensed Practical Nursing, Medical Assisting, and Surgical Technology Diploma, allowing students to continue their educational pathways with a potential seamless approach.
HIMT 1205 provides students with the opportunity to prepare for the National Association of Healthcare Access Management Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification examination.
