This page provides information about our upcoming graduation ceremony, as well as how to apply for graduation. If you have any questions regarding the information found on this page, please contact registration@athenstech.edu or 706.355.5013.

All students must fill out a graduation application regardless of whether they wish to walk in the ceremony.

Verify your student information through BannerWeb

Go to Banner Web > Student Services & Financial Aid > Student Records > View Student Information.  Please check with Admissions if a program of study is not accurately reflected in the View Student Information screen

Update your contact information

Go to Banner Web > Student Services & Financial Aid > Student Address and Phone Information.  If your phone number and/or address are not current, please reach out to Admissions to submit the appropriate paperwork.  Your information will need to be updated prior to submitting a graduation application, so that we can send any important documentation after you graduate, including your diploma.

Meet all requirements to graduate

Athens Technical College is authorized by the Technical College System of Georgia to grant associate degrees and technical diplomas/certificates. The graduation date is determined for an individual student by the completion date of all program requirements and the requirements listed below.

  • Applied and were accepted into the program you intend to graduate from.
  • Satisfactorily complete all curriculum graduation requirements with the appropriate GPA.
  • Complete a minimum of 25% of your program courses with ATC courses.

Fill out the Graduation Application Form and submit payment

Fill out and submit the Graduation Application Form. Be sure to submit no later than the fourth week from the start of the full semester you intend to graduate from. Payment can be submitted by contacting the Cashier’s Office at 706.355.5121.

Degrees are mailed to the address on file approximately six to eight weeks after the semester ends or final grades are assigned. All college financial obligations must be met to receive a credential or transcript.

* Please note that the Akins Ford Arena has a Clear Bag Policy. Backpacks, camera bags, binocular bags, and computer bags are prohibited. Personal items must be secured in a clear bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Wallets smaller than 5″ x 8″ x 2″ will be accepted at entry.
