Graduation Scheduled for May 4

Athens Technical College has announced the 2015 commencement schedule for May 4.
The college graduation ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. at The Classic Center in the Grand Hall. For the 2014-2015 academic year, Athens Technical College has over 1,400 students eligible to graduate. Those students will have earned over 1,500 certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees. Jim Flannery, Four Athens founder and project director, will serve as the keynote speaker.
The GED® graduation ceremony, scheduled for 2:00 p.m., will also be held in the Grand Hall at the Classic Center. This year, nearly 100 students will receive their GED® diplomas. Bob Mackey, founder of M-Powering Choices, Inc., will serve as the GED® ceremony keynote speaker. Mackey is also the director of the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club in Greensboro and previous worked for the State of Georgia and Department of Juvenile Justice.
A free shuttle service will run from the Athens Technical College Campus (Building H) to The Classic Center from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with buses leaving approximately every 10 minutes. Graduates riding the shuttle need to arrive on the ATC campus by 7:15 a.m. All guests riding the shuttle to the college graduation ceremony are encouraged to be on the bus by 9:15 a.m. GED® graduates riding the shuttle should arrive on campus by 12:30 p.m. Parking is also available at The Classic Center for $4 for four hours.
