The Career Services Office at Athens Technical College is a unit of the Student Affairs Division. Our mission is to provide students with assistance in learning about the world of work, developing job search skills, and locating suitable employment opportunities. We offer access to career-related tools, such as the Georgia Career Information System, where students can complete career exploration inventories, research and compare occupations, and develop educational and career goals.
Career-related workshops are offered each semester on all Athens Technical College campuses. Topics may include career exploration, career portfolios, and job search skills which help students learn strategies for success in a competitive job market. Individual appointments for career consultation are also available.
Current students and alumni are encouraged to use Optimal Resume to prepare professional career documents and portfolios, develop and refine interviewing skills, and to research and apply for employment opportunities available with local and national employers. Employment opportunities are posted on the Job Boards for each Athens Technical College campus. Additional resources are available on the Career Services Homepage.
