Registration
"I'm Caroline Angelo, director of registration and records here at Athens Technical College. I want to welcome you to the college and remind you to check the payment deadlines, withdrawal dates, and registration periods on our website frequently each term."
There are several opportunities for students to register for classes at Athens Technical College: New Student Registration, Returning Student Registration, and Late Registration.
- New Student Registration is the first chance new students have to register. After new students have completed this online orientation, they will be able to attend New Student Registration to meet with their advisors. New students should bring their acceptance letter and a printed copy of their e-mail confirming that they successfully completed the online orientation to campus on new student registration day.
- Returning Student Registration is when students register during all future semesters in order to avoid late fees and closed classes. Returning Student Registration occurs shortly after the midpoint of each term. Your assigned registration time will be based on the number of credit hours you have earned. Plan on speaking with your advisor each semester on one of the advising days BEFORE Returning Student Registration begins. In addition to the advising days, your advisor may have specific dates and times available for advising returning students, so plan accordingly.
- Late Registration is the last time you can register before the next term's classes begin. If you wait until late registration, you will be required to pay a $45 late registration fee. In addition, class availability is limited during late registration because many classes may already be full.
