Move On When Ready (MOWR) is Georgia's new dual enrollment program. It provides high school students with opportunities to earn college credit while working on their high school diplomas. This program replaces ACCEL, HOPE-Dual Enrollment, and the previous Move on When Ready program. Students in 9th,10th,11th, and 12th grades, attending a participating Georgia high school or an approved home study program are eligible to participate. In order to qualify as MOWR participants, all private and public high schools and home study programs within Georgia operating pursuant to O.C.G.A. §20-2-690(c) must submit a MOWR High School/Home Study Program Participation Agreement.Students may take occupational and career courses or academic core courses that can transfer to University System of Georgia colleges and universities. Courses students choose each term must be listed on their Move on When Ready applications to be approved by their high school and the postsecondary institution.
Tracie McGhee, High School Coordinator
Tracie McGhee earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Georgia and since 2008 serves as the college's High School Coordinator. She has been a part of post-secondary technical education for 17+ years working with the Move on When Ready program, admissions, student services, and economic development.

Nathan Loyd, Career Academy Coordinator
Nathan Loyd earned a Master's Degree from Northwestern State University, and a Bachelor's Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University. He has completed additional graduate studies at Western New Mexico University. He has been a part of Athens Technical College for approximately 16 years working in academic affairs, the Elbert County Campus, and Move on When Ready.

Ellie Bradshaw MOWR Admission Assistant
Ellie Bradshaw earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administrative Technology from Athens Technical College. She served as the Athens Technical College's receptionist for almost 3 years before joining the MOWR team in June 2016.
