New Student Orientation
Athens Technical College’s New Student Orientation is delivered in person and through virtual sessions online. Registration will be available approximately six weeks in advance for live sessions. These sessions are not required, but we strongly encourage you to register and attend. Refreshments will be served at in-person events.

ATC offers over 190 options through associate degrees, diplomas, and technical certificates of credit.
Yes, there are several hundred courses that are offered online in order to accommodate your schedule better with your personal life. These can include in-person, fully online, hybrid or web-enhanced options.
The main campus is located in Athens, with satellite campuses located in Greene County, Elbert County, and Walton County.
Yes, it is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Specific programs may be accredited by other national or regional organizations as stated in the catalog.
Our mascot is the owl, which represents wisdom and independent thinking. The character mascot is named Athena, the Greek mythology goddess of wisdom and war and city protectress, who adopted the owl as her sacred or favorite bird.
Most classes have an average of 10 to 20 students per class, with 30 at the very most. Learning in smaller class sizes often helps students form strong networks on campus.
Popular programs include business management, healthcare assistant, cosmetology, nursing, early childhood care and education, accounting and welding.
